SOCIAL MARKETING 09 CONFERENCE || 24.09.09
SOCIAL marketing 09 conference: 24.09.09

After delivering highly effective social marketing projects in collaboration with PCTs across the UK, The Hub has been invited to delivery a plenary presentation at the Health Service Journal’s (HSJ) Social Marketing 09 conference.

Already working across all 6 key areas of the preventive health agenda and with an award-winning portfolio of projects focused on reducing health inequalities, The Hub’s expertise and approach is perfectly aligned with NHS priorities.

Helen Johnson, Managing Director at The Hub said, “Shared learning is a key component in efforts to drive social marketing up the social justice agenda. This conference provides the perfect forum us to stimulate dialogue on how we can further streamline delivery, demonstrate ROI and increase cost effectiveness within the context of the NHS.”

With specialist expertise in engaging with hard-to-reach and disadvantaged communities, all The Hub’s work is focused on reducing health inequalities and raising aspirations, both amongst patient communities and internally within the NHS. Along with a host of international experts, including Dr Jeff French, Professor Gerard Hastings and Dr Ray Lowry, The Hub’s contribution will focus on how social marketing can face up to these challenges and deliver real improvement in health outcomes.

Helen continued, “Working primarily with NHS clients, we understand the challenges PCTs face in embedding social marketing approaches in day-to-day NHS business practices. We are already working with PCT clients to build capacity internally and assist in performance against the World Class Commissioning agenda through our patient and stakeholder engagement work.

In addition to hosting a plenary session, The Hub will be present in the exhibition hall for debate and discussion on the content of the presentation and how the agency’s particular approach could help drive progress towards PCT targets.

The HSJ Social Marketing 09 conference will take place on the 24th September at the America Square Conference Centre, London. For face-to-face discussion with The Hub team, please visit our stand.
